Tomb Raider 5 story plot

Now do you think that TR5'S story plot is a reimagined type of plot? Or do you know if TR5 is a prequel to TR1 because Larson and Pierre are alive in this TR game first meanwhile you still see that you have to defeat them in TR1? This is what I see with these 2 plots of these characters being alive in TR1 & TR5. So do you if TR5 is a prequel type of plot to TR1 because Larson and Pierre are still alive? Or is TR5 a sequel after the plot of TR1?

Ok. Now I did read everything with what it says in this weblink. And I think TR5 is a reimagined type of plot because they added Larson and Pierre in this TR game. Because I'm like why would you have to defeat those guys in TR5 again?

do think it was basically unnecessary to add them in TR5'S story plot again?

No. You clearly didn't read the timeline I provided. TR5 is not a reimagined plot, it's the chronicles of Lara's life.

The Rome section in TR5, where you meet Larson and Pierre, happens in 1989.
TR1 happens in 1996.
That's not so difficult to understand I believe.

Ok so this game is a prequel to TR1 then. So am I correct about that?

Yes and no. Depends on which section of TR5.

You have a section with young Lara (age 11?) on a haunted island. That's I believe the earlier Lara we get to play.

---TR4 Intro in Cambodia happens in between here---

Then you have a section where Lara (age 16?) infiltrated a Russian military base to retrieve the Spear of Destiny

Then you have Lara (age 21?) in Rome where she meets Larson and Pierre in search of the Philosopher's Stone.

---TR1, TRUB, TR2, TRGM, TR3 and TRLA happen in between here---

And then you have Lara (age 27) sneaking into Von Croy Industry headquarters to steal the Iris artifact.

---And here TR4 happens where Lara allegedly dies in the end so her friends gather to tell the stories of her that they remember from her past. Which is TR5 aka Chronicles---
---TRAOD storyline happens after the ending of TR4---

Tomb Raider 5 is actually the sequel of Tomb Raider 3. The alpha game files mention it.
