What happened to Rise of the Tomb Raider? It's so quiet here.

The game came out 8 years ago. There just isn't much to talk about anymore.

But TR1 came out 27 years ago, and TR2013 came out 10 years ago. They are not as quiet as here.

TR1 is a certified classic, and TR2013 was the start of the Reboot era which kicked off a major shift for TR. Rise was a midquel, and most people have moved on, as far as I can tell. If you'd like to talk about the game more, suggest an interesting topic for people to discuss...?

Going hard on trying to 100% all discoverable objects, challenges, skill and weapon maxing on Extreme Survivor.

It boggles my mind how much of this game I just forgot. Depression is funny like that -- I think I also got to geothermal valley on my first playthrough back when it came out and in my head I just wanted to burn through the rest of the story.

This game is absolutely gigantic compared to 2013, I see why it's the top fave of the reboot trilogy. I wonder when I get through my hard playthrough of Shadow, if it will be pinged off of first place for Rise, to well, rise.

This really is a brilliant game (my only criticism that would stick with me is input lag/buggy traversal). I don't wanna end on a negative so this last sentence will reiterate how Rise is still brilliant despite this (you just need a little patience!)

Well you know what? Why here is so quiet is the interesting topic I think of to discuss.

Glad you’re liking it so much! Rise is definitely one of my favourite games of all time. It felt like a true evolution to 2013. While they tried to set up a mature storyline with 2013, it still felt really silly most of the time. Rise feels a lot more mature to me, even though some of the plot points are still really big misses.
I generally dislike cold or winter environments in video games, which made me all the more surprised that i liked rise so much. This feels kind of silly to say, but rise is one of the only games which actually made me feel cold in real life. There’s something about the lighting and environments which just strike a chord with me, you can actually feel the cold! (In my experience anyway)

True, the early parts of the game were very immersive and felt like really cold and why wouldn't it be, it was Sibera after all. Also the geothermal valley makes the game even better because we get to see some warmth and greenery and a change of refreshing atmosphere. Kitezh and the ruins had snow but the vibe and coloring were different. And I loved how She finally discovers a whole ass city beneath the glacier and it was just wonderful to look at.

Lots of new inventory and worlds make it a worthwhile release. But too much shooting!
