A lot of modern fan depictions of Lara, I feel, only get at the broadest interpretation of what Lara looks like - because they get the styling down, spot on, but if you strip all of that away, you end up with a generically attractive woman who's certainly good-looking, but wouldn't stand out in a room full of her ilk. The equivalent of an Instagram model, but I wouldn't want to be that uncharitable.

(this is not in any way a dig at Konrad's work, which I adore, by the way!)

I want to look at Lara and see that it's her, because she has somewhat of an unusual look - not just take a wild guess at a fit woman in accurate cosplay.

It's the difference between like, Mariacarla Boscono and the Hadid sisters, that I'm getting at, you know? Mariacarla is a bad example, because I wouldn't really want Lara to look like her, but you get what I mean.

EDIT: A better example would be Lara Weller, actually. I know I keep singing her praises, but someone has to.
I agree with what you're saying whole heartedly. I just want to finally see Lara in her iconic light even if she doesn't look like these exact interpretations. The reboot era was nice but for me its like she's a completely different character and was stripped from her iconography.
