Red face Lost Temple of Atlantis - The Icy Towers

Hello everyone, I bet nobody knows who I'm

Well for those interested I'm also known as richardba

I've created few maps, but my favorite so far is The Lost Temple of Atlantis - Journey To Antarctic

http://www.trle.net/sc/levelfeatures.php?lid=1173

It has been 6 years, lol, but the time has come, I got finish my Atlantis trilogy and The Icy Towers is the level that I'm currently creating.

I couldn't finish Icy Towers before, because of many reasons, starting with study and time constraint, then deception with the tool itself and with the decreasing community, but a few days ago I was looking at some personal files, then I found some TRLE data. I felt so sad, but yet I recalled how good level editing was.

Now as a computer science student and software developer I have more logical skills, and also I follow some procedures, for example, each stage of the map development will be posted here, (i.e. texture creation, rooms texturization, object modeling, object texturing, soundtrack creation, scenario concepts and so on).

Thank you for reading, and I hope you like my progression.

Default Why NGLE and Level textures

I'll make The Icy Towers with NGLE, because it is more advanced than the standard LE. This is not the only reason why I've chosen it, but because it is customizable and it has the "high definition" texture feature.

And for an enjoyable gaming experience, I think this fits better.

My level textures is a mix of several textures from several "egypcian" sets, but it has some elements from TRC Russia and TRTALC Antartic map, it also borrows tiles from tr1 natla's pyramid, because Tomb Raider has its own concept of Atlantis and to make people that played TR series feel like they are playing an Atlantis map.

Originally, my texture tileset was going to be this one:

I had created it 4 years ago, but when I came across it once again I saw how deprecated it was, if I kept developing the map I know that in the end I'd feel really frustrated because I couldn't give the best of me in this map, you may ask me, why?

I have many abilities with the design thang, lol, and re-renderizing (and remaking) the textures is task that requires many hours. I believe that if I'm concentrated and patient enough both the quality and the time spawn will be respectively increased/decreased.

This is what I have done with my textures, so far

if anyone has any suggestion, feel free to say it

/edit
it must be noted that some Scion's Atlantean textures are from the canceled Core Desgin TRA project
