Results! TRF's Top 64 Videogame Characters

Some miscounting may have occurred. Some people made a first draft, then a new draft, but they kept both ballots intact. If I noticed that someone had voted twice, then I only counted the first ballot (as I saw it first). Some other people would edit their first draft (and removed their initial votes), only to submit a new ballot as a quote in their new post, which I found confusing. But enough about that, it’s not like we are voting for president, so a few votes being not counted or being double counted is not really going to hurt anyone, and I’ll tell you why.

There were over 240 characters submitted. And with all those votes came numerous ties. There were at least 140 characters that were tied with one vote each. Crazy, huh? Now, there will be 64 characters on this list, and not 50, as there were many characters tied with the fewest eligible votes (which was 3). I stopped counting any others once we went into the characters who had 2 votes each, as there would have been 99 characters on the list, which is far too many. With the characters that were tied, I organized them in alphabetical order, by a first name basis. So, if a character has a name starting with ‘Z’, he or she will be ranked last of that tied group. The only exception is number 64; at the last minute, I noticed that he was eligible to be on the list, and I ranked him last.

Number 1 got 45 votes - 2 got 12 votes - 3 got 11 votes - 4 got 10 votes - 5 got 9 votes - 6 and 7 got 8 votes each - 8 got 7 votes

9 through 12 got 6 votes each.

13 through 22 got 5 votes each.

23 through 38 got 4 votes each.

39 though 64 got 3 votes each.
