Tomb Raider reboot isn't rubbish, but something new instead (hands on impressions)
!!!WARNING: THIS VIDEO CONTAINS TWO INSTANCES OF MILD LANGUAGE!!!
Single player hands on impressions: - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SfutLDoF6HM Multiplayer hands on impressions: - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTa1Rhtv8DY I recently got some hands on time with Tomb Raider's single player and multiplayer and have posted up some impressions. Despite the game being vastly different from its predecessor (underworld), the game was still rather enjoyable and something new for the series. I've seen and took lots of flak from fans of Devil May Cry, and I defended DmC pre release because as a gamer I enjoyed it and having played more than just the demo. I think the same holds true with this game. Once players let go of the past and look at this new game based on its own merits, there's something quite appealing. Check out the videos for single and multiplayer impressions. Last edited by tlr online; 31-01-13 at 22:03. Reason: Added profanity warning |

Watched the single-player impression. It was very nicely written; you covered everything and your opinion seemed objective, which is always good. Glad to hear you say that you enjoyed the game so far, and there wasn't anything too bad with it. Can I just say that you have a nice voice, too; it was easy on the ears. Overall, a great video, it almost felt like I was watching a proper full review from IGN or something.
On to the multiplayer video now... |

Nice review for both. I can't help but agree, especially for the MP review. It does seem tacked on but then it is value for money as £40 for single-player game does feel a bit of a rip-off. Even if it's a very good campaign.

Shows such great organization. Rory simply let us get on with it for the single player session. As for the multiplayer, I think there were some introductions but again, the onus was on taking out the other team.
I will reiterate: There's a lot of work to be done to establish TR as a multiplayer game considering its single player roots and following. Either way, the foundations are there to be established and hopefully can build up a decent following as a compliment to the single player game. As they say, you've got to start somewhere. |
