PEARL OF KOJADA – MONGOLIAN FOOTHILLS:
Tomb Raider: Pearl of Kojada – Mongolian Foothills has been born in 2007. It was meant to be a team project, but unfortunately it’s been abandoned and cast aside. Every member of the group was supposed to create his own, independent set of levels. Some time ago I’ve stumbled upon my part of the project, and I thought that it would be a great idea to finish a game that is in a such advanced state.
.
LEGEND:
During her studies on the Mongolian culture, Lara found passages speaking of the Pearl of Kojada.

According to legends, Pearl of Kojada was said to be one of the most marvelous treasures in Mongolian history. It says that the Pearl was conceived when the goddess of the Winds – Kojada – has sent her falcon in search for the most precious jewels of the world. The falcon finally managed to find one the most beautiful Pearls in a far away place. However he was so exhausted with the journey, that just before he reached the goddess, he dropped the precious jewel into a salty lake.
The Pearl dissolved in its salty waters and during the passing years, it has formed the most magnificent jewel, but the goddess wanted to find her Pearl... In her anger, she turned the falcon into a breathe of wind, which is even now believed to wander the stepps in search of the lake in which the Pearl was lost.

PROJECT:
The visuals of the game have been upgraded. All the textures have been modified, and upscaled from 64x64 to 128x128 pixels. I have fixed a lighting and improved the looks of certain objects. The quality of the gameplay has also been drastically improved. I’ve removed all dull puzzles, and replaced them with something a lot more interesting. There are many new rooms to explore and secrets waiting to be found. Lara has gained a few new moves ( the same ones she has in “Ancient Artifact II”). She will also have a Diary, filled with interesting content.

I'm excited, looking forward to it!

However, will this interfere with progress of Above the Horizon?

I'm so happy to see (part of) this project resurrected! I remember when the original project was in development. Has it really been 10 years now? Who else was on the original team back in the day? Everyone was showing off impressive stuff, I remember that.

Wow! Was that project really that long ago?

Either way, the screen looks great and can't wait to see more!

That's why I don't panic about cancelled projects but wait patiently.
