Question King Arthur texture bug (Last gen)

Hey, I've encountered an anti-climatic bug during Legend where there's a texture floating above King Arthur's face. I have been playing Legend with Next Generation Content disabled.

The texture that is floating over Arthur's face is what he looks like if next gen is enabled. Any software engineers out there willing to fix this?

From left to right:
  1. First cutscene
  2. Gameplay before breaking egg
  3. Second cutscene (no bug)
  4. Gameplay after breaking egg


[Edit] I forgot to mention that I am playing Legend on Steam so all updates are present.

It's just Arthur's face. The body is a seperate object (with its own rotted face). For some reason the face mesh has been moved upwards in current gen mode. You can see in next-gen how it fits into the surrounding fabric.

Yeah Next Gen made him taller and more fancy looking for a dead person. Probably one of the few things I like about Next Gen, but on balance I prefer to play Last Gen.

I agree, in general I much prefer the last-gen graphics.

He's too huge either way though. Look at his height compared to Lara.

Edit: You could make the face texture invisible to fix the problem. He'd only have the 'rotted' face but at least it wont look glitched.

Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortuantly the crash fix doesn't fix the issue with King Arthur's floating mask while playing in Last Gen. The floating mask shouldn't be there. See picture below.

This game is full of technical errors. Maybe merging two games into one engine caused a lot of blunders
Personally, I prefer the Next Generation after Lara's correction The only problem for me was NG Lara's face.. This mod may change your perception of the improved version.......I used the same texture of (Last gen)

I tried your suggestion to make the texture invisible using TexMod. There's a translucent shape over Arthur's face because the Next Gen object is still there. At least he looks better now.



This half-fix relies on launching the game from a third party app.

That does look much better now it's not so obviously glitched.

I assume the 'rotted' face texture is much smaller than the death mask texture, but if you resized it larger you could try pasting the death mask over the rotted face texture to get the same effect as having the mask in the correct place.
